Many of us lead busy lives and when we happen to find ourselves with a bit of downtime, we don’t often know what to do with it! So how do we stay motivated or make the best use of our time?
Here are our go-to-tips to maximising your downtime:
- Write list of all the little things; all those annoying little tasks you have been avoiding. Now is the perfect time to get them out of the way! Lists are a great way to work through your day, and there’s no better feeling than ticking a task off a list, no matter how small!
- Set some new goals to achieve. Is there something you’ve been meaning to try out or explore further? Now might be a great time to give it some thought!
- Play and learn. Take a moment to enjoy yourself and surround yourself in an environment that makes you feel great! Sometimes motivation and inspiration can come when we least expect it
- Lastly, just… relax. We often think we always have to be in motion but sometimes it’s also nice to use our downtime as downtime. Take a moment for yourself, reflect and check in with how you are going. Draw a bath, watch a movie or go for a walk, whatever helps you reset, especially in these cold winter months. Take advantage of those rainy days! It’s the simple things that make it worth-while.
